Unisphere: The Biggest World on Earth (1964)
Discusses concepts of design behind the unisphere of the U S Steel Corporation, and its construction at the New York World's Fair. Ken Smith sez: "The biggest world on Earth." "The largest representation of our globe ever attempted." "The largest stainless steel structure ever built." This U.S. Steel presentation is full of hyperbole, but so what? This film features lots of construction footage and countless references to the Eiffel Tower -- but no mention of the infinitely superior Terrestrial Globe at the Paris Expo of 1900. U.S. Steel Co. Superbowl XLII Last 10 Seconds
This is the last 10 seconds of the game. It takes almost five minutes to play out the last one second, becaues of the crowd. Gameplay is followed by an emotional interview with Giants receiver Plaxico Burress. The New York Giants clinch a stunning victory over the previously undefeated New England Patriots. Big Blue spoiled the Pats' chance to make NFL history by being the first time ever to go 19-0. The only in modern NFL history to have a completely undefeated season right through the Superbowl was the 1972 Miami Dolphins, who won the Superbowl and ended the season with a 17-0 record. This was the Giants' first Superbowl win in 17 years.
