Westbank Fire - water bombers called up
Westside Fire Rescue call in water bombers to put down a fire only 800 meters from homes. Cindy and I were returning from a mountain trip where we were already commenting on how dry the forests of BC were when we came across a forest fire in progress. Darren Lee of the Westside Fire Rescue explains what happened. With already a dry season, many dead trees due to the pine beetle I think we are on the brink of a major forest fire event this year.
